In September of last
year, hurricanes Irma and Maria wreaked havoc across the Caribbean – affecting
thousands and destroying homes, workplaces and communities. The Caribbean in
particular is a vibrant area that I like to call my second home and seeing the
devastation was heart wrenching.
It is at this time
of year that we would normally consider going to visit, to break up the bleak
winter days. With all the pictures of the overturned homes and streets
cluttered with debris, you might not realize just how alive the island was, so
I've dug into the archives to offer a look into the vibrant life that was on
the British Virgin Islands before disaster struck.
